GBFans.com is a diverse community with members of all backgrounds in nearly every country of the world. We have a large number of medical professionals, emergency workers and frontline staff that needs our help. There are members of our community that are Doctors, Nurses, EMTs and other essential personnel that are at a high risk of exposure to Coronavirus (COVID-19). We must come together as a community to help provide personal protective equipment (PPE) to those in need, including our community members.
GBFans.com is in a unique position, as many of the tools and equipment that are involved in the manufacture of costumes and props are also essential for the production of PPE. While the GBFans.com Shop has been closed down during our state's mandated closure order, we have been hard at work to shift our production from producing costumes and props, to producing face shields for our at risk medical professionals.
We need your help to make these face shields. Please make your donation to the project page here: https://www.gbfans.com/face-shields/

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of veteran actress Julie Bennett, who supplied the voice for UBN News reporter, Cynthia Crawford, one of the few secondary characters in The Real Ghostbusters to have more than a single appearance during it's 7-year run.
Julie Bennett initially appeared briefly in the 8th episode of the show's inaugural season: When Halloween Was Forever, and she returned for another fan-favourite, episode 11's Citizen Ghost, where both Bennett and Crawford enjoyed an expanded appearance which helped to bookend the story.
Bennett passed away at the age of 88 following complications related to Covid-19.Julie also had noted appearance in The Yogi Bear Show as Cindy Bear, The Amazing Spider-Man as Aunt May, and, amusingly, in 1988's Ghostbusters parody, Daffy Duck's Quackbusters.

As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to unfold and impact services and industry around the globe, Sony has chosen to follow suit with Universal, Paramount and Disney in opting to reschedule the release of Ghostbusters Afterlife for next year, in the hope that circumstances will be closer, if not back to normal.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife will now be released on Friday March 5th, 2021, as reported by Variety.Whilst this development will come as a disappointment to many, we have to remember that the first and most important priority is public safety, and helping to reduce the ability for Covid-19 to spread any further.
Moderator Note: This is not an April Fool's joke.

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of veteran actor Max von Sydow, who supplied the booming, sinister voice of Vigo the Carpathian in 1989's Ghostbusters II, and reprised the role in 2008's Ghostbusters: The Video Game in cameo as the portrait-bound despot.
Von Sydow rose to prominence starring opposite Death inIngmar Bergman's The Seventh Seal, and amassed a notable list of roles and films, including The Exorcist, Flash Gordon, Dune, Needful Things, Minority Report, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and Game of Thrones.
